Age and Size Does Not Matter
As the saying goes, “Age ain’t nothing but a number.” My style preference and comfort are the only things that dictate the clothes I wear, not age or size. If I’m feeling it and it fits my budget, I’m rocking it.
Last month, I snagged some cute and comfortable pieces from Forever 21 from a recent sale, and I want to show you how to style them. Please read until the end to get the links of similar styles so that you can recreate the looks for yourself!
Styling an Oversized Cardigan
Lately, I have fallen more and more in love with the oversized cardigans. They are so comfortable and can be worn for lounging or dressed up when styled with the right pieces. I styled this open-front cardigan sweater with a basic cotton cami, high-waist jeans (also from Forever 21), and Chelsea boots. You can toss this comfy-casual look on for a stylish shopping trip or wear it to work, if no specific attire is required. Switch things up with a dressier cami and change to a pair of pumps and trousers, and you now have a business casual outfit for work.
A Piece That Will Turn Heads
For another quick switcheroo, I have paired Forever 21’s satin lace-trim cami with the same jeans and boots and finished it off with their colorblock fringe cardigan sweater. This is a statement piece that will turn heads when you walk into the room. Either they’ll love it or hate it, but they’ll definitely be checking you out! LOL! I like things that are a little different, so this is a perfect piece. Be careful when washing it because the material sheds and spreads all over. It’s not very noticeable unless you get really close. However, if you’re a somewhat perfectionist, get a good lint roller and use a little patience. This cardigan is no longer available, but I found a similar style shaggy cardigan jacket on Amazon. This can be worn for a midweek dinner date.
Making Casual Sexy
I changed to a sexy casual look with the same jeans and a pair of high, platform heel stilettos, and a long sleeve cut out turtleneck top from Forever 21. The opening is deep enough to show a corner of a regular bra, so if you’re bustier like me and need the support, I would suggest a half-bra for this top. The side going around the neck is a little loose, but I love it. It is form-fitting, so every bit of you will show. If you’re confident, wear it! Rock this for a night out with Bae!
A Soft and Stylish Overcoat
Lastly is a soft and stylish faux fur teddy coat from Forever 21. You can wear this over a dressy or casual look. It depends on your style preference or the type of event you may be attending. Here is a comparable faux teddy style from Amazon.
